About Us

Creating brave spaces for real conversations and lasting change…

Phynix Initiative supports you as an individual, a supporter, or as an organisation to rise and move toward the person you want to be or the culture you want to establish.

OUR VISION

A world where suicide is no longer an option—because no one is left to fight their battles alone, unheard, or unseen.

OUR MISSION

To dismantle the silence and shame around suicidalness by creating spaces where people can be raw, real, and supported in their darkest moments—without judgment, without stigma, and without being told to just “stay positive.”

OUR IMPACT

So that… fewer lives are lost to silence, more people realise they are worth saving—including themselves—and resilience becomes a middle finger to a world that tells them they are too broken to heal.

OUR VALUES

Passionate

We show up with fire, drive, and full commitment to the work of transmendation.

Humanity

We honour the real, raw human experience—flaws, struggles, and all.

Yes And…

We embrace expansion, curiosity, and the power of possibility.

Nurturing

We create spaces of safety, support, and belonging.

Inclusion

We ensure that no one is left behind, unheard, or unseen.

eXcellence

We don’t settle. We lead with integrity, innovation, and courage.

OUR TEAM

Phynix Initiative is being built on the foundation of a peer support model. Peer support is distinct from other forms of social support in that the source of support is a peer, a person who is similar in fundamental ways to the recipient of the support; their relationship is one of equality. A peer is in a position to offer support by virtue of relevant experience: he or she has “been there, done that” and can relate to others who are now in a similar situation. By definition, a peer support model means you are treated as an equal and your own truth and power is heard, valued and respected.

It is the intent that all staff who become part of the team working for Phynix Initiative, have a lived experience of distress and overwhelm or caring for someone who is living it.
